WHAT’S HAPPENING

SUNDAY RESET

re·set - To restore, to make right.

We all need a reset. Join us Sunday nights to “reset” for the week ahead. We play games, hang out, and learn about God’s Word.

As we study the book of Judges, we will learn what it means to follow our King and Savior. As we read and discuss the Israelites’ reluctance to follow God, we compare our faith walk to theirs, learning what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Middle School: 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Sunday Dinner (All Youth): 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm

High School: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Follow our journey.

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2)

RETREATS

Challenge Conference

July 1 through July 5

Challenge blends the best of camp, conference and mission trips. This blend creates a catalytic environment that moves beyond the mountaintop moment to building missional momentum. We will join 10,000+ youth in Kansas City to worship God together! Watch the video!

MORE ABOUT CENTRAL YOUTH GROUP

Hello friends! I’m Jeremy Dehn, and I am the Director of Youth and Discipleship Ministries. Let me tell you a bit about myself and about the youth program.

I am a child of God, loved and saved by Jesus. God has given me a joyful heart. I love sharing His joy with those I come into contact with. I’m a curious person, and I love learning about others strengths, gifts, and potential. I was born and raised in St. Louis, which is why I am a Cardinals, Blues, and Battlehawks fan. Throughout high school, college, and after college I worked at the one and only Chick-fil-A. If you ever want to have a spirited debate on where the best place is to get a chicken sandwich, I’d love to talk (but we both already know the right answer). I married my beautiful wife, Noelle, in July 2022. We first met at the most magical place on earth, Chick-fil-A, and our love story will forever be traced back to that beloved restaurant in Sunset Hills. Together, we enjoy hiking, watching movies, and playing board games (especially Ticket to Ride).

What should you expect from youth group?

  • Building your relationship with God

  • Building your relationships with others

  • Building God’s kingdom through service

I am a firm believer that God gave us the gift of joy. We should experience that joy as much as possible. All youth activities will have an atmosphere of joy and positivity. Unfortunately, we live in a fallen world which takes God’s joy from our hearts and replaces it with feelings of fear, anxiety, loneliness, and so much more. With the help of the Spirit, I, along with the adult volunteers, want to help guide you to the peace and truth that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
