Advent Sermon Series – Christmas Carols
Beginning on Sunday, November 28, Reverend Dr. Jason Abbott begins a sermon series entitled “Christmas Carols” leading us up to our Christmas Eve service and the celebration of Christ’s birth. Each week, the Scripture passage and the message will focus on another individual or group who played an important role in foretelling the birth of our Savior.

Dec. 05: “The Mute Man Sings” Luke 1: 67-79
Dec. 12: “The Angels Sing” Luke 2:13-20
Dec. 19: “The Old Man Sings” Luke 2:25-35

Central Church was established in 1858 by a group of German immigrants in Jefferson City, MO as Central German Evangelical Church. Throughout our history, we have been part of the Evangelical, Evangelical & Reformed, and United Church of Christ denominations. We are now non-denominational, but we still hold fast to our Protestant, Lutheran, Evangelical & Reformed, and Congregational Christian roots and traditions, while being open to change and new opportunities. We hope to see you at one of our worship services or one of our many functions!.
