2019 Red Cross Blood Drive – July 24, 2019.

Thank you to everyone who came out to donate blood.
You stepped up to the plate and helped to save a life.  It was time to fly, and you flew!

The Lord blessed us with a beautiful day for our second annual American Red Cross Blood Drive.  Unfortunately, the weather was so nice after several days of blistering hot weather, that many people may have taken the opportunity to mow grass, go fishing, golf, go on a picnic, or do other outdoor activities…and that may have contributed to lower-than-hoped-for results.

We did have over 30 people present to donate blood.  Of those, 28 were ultimately eligible to donate, and 27 units of blood were collected.  We even had one woman on vacation from Arizona who came in to donate.  Thank you to everyone who took the time on such a beautiful day to help share the gift of life.  Thank you as well to those who volunteered their time to help with the drive and to those who made snacks for the donors and volunteers.  They were greatly appreciated by everyone.
